A few useful answers
Pricing questions.
Do I need the customer portal to quote and run orders?
No. Every MES plan includes staff quoting, part configuration, CAD viewing, geometry extraction for quoting, and order management. Detailed DFM and drawing analysis start with MES. Your team can serve customers and run production without a self-service portal. MES + Portal adds a branded workspace where customers can quote, order, and follow progress themselves; Enterprise includes it too. Finance inclusions depend on your MES plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Every plan, including Enterprise, renews monthly. Cancel before your next billing date and keep access through the month you paid for. No cancellation penalty; usage already incurred remains payable.
How is pricing billed?
Prices are in USD per month, before tax. The total shown on your card includes your selected technologies and staff seats. Additional storage is separate. MES includes up to 250 detailed DFM analyses per month, with no automatic overage charges. MES + Portal and Enterprise offer additional detailed analyses at $0.50 each, subject to an approved spending limit.
What can I do with CAD files on Starter?
Upload CAD files, explore parts in 3D, and turn their measurements into quotes. Starter automatically extracts the geometry your pricing needs, including volume, surface area, dimensions, and support estimates. MES adds detailed manufacturing insights and drawing analysis.
What happens after 250 detailed DFM analyses on MES?
New parts continue through basic CAD extraction so your team can keep quoting and running orders. Further detailed DFM analysis pauses until the next monthly allowance. Previously available detailed results remain accessible while your plan includes detailed DFM; reaching the cap does not block quoting or existing production work.
What counts as a detailed DFM analysis?
A completed detailed analysis of a new part or CAD revision uses one credit. Reopening a result already available to your workspace, unchanged reorders, quantity changes, failed processing, and automatic retries do not. Batches count each analyzed part. Basic CAD extraction for quoting does not use detailed DFM credits. MES includes 250 per month, MES + Portal includes 1,500, and Enterprise includes 3,000.
How do additional staff seats work?
Each internal team member uses one named seat, including shop-floor operators. Additional seats cost $49 per person per month. Customer portal accounts do not count as staff seats.
What counts as a manufacturing technology?
A technology is an additive process, such as FDM or SLS—not a machine, material, or color. Starter includes one; add a second for $99/month. MES includes three; add another for $99/month or all supported additive technologies for $199/month. MES + Portal and Enterprise include all supported additive technologies. Future CNC capabilities are separate.
What counts toward file storage?
Uploaded files and retained revisions count toward your allowance. Generated previews, internal caches, and managed backups do not. Add 100 GB for $10/month when needed; you do not need to estimate storage to get started. Storage is retained capacity, not a monthly upload allowance. 1 TB equals 1,000 GB.
Are integrations and third-party costs included?
ShipStation integration is included on every plan; connect your own account and API key. QuickBooks is included from MES. Your provider subscriptions, shipping charges, and payment-processing fees remain separate.
What is different about Enterprise?
Enterprise starts at $3,499/month with 20 staff seats, 3,000 monthly DFM analyses, and 1 TB of storage. It includes MES + Portal and a dedicated, isolated data environment hosted and managed by Arcphase. Additional service commitments and rollout requirements are agreed with you.
